So You’re Ready to Outsource!

So the time has come for you to take on a virtual assistant or another service provider. You can make the process a lot smoother by having a few things already planned out and prepared.

  1. Tasks to Outsource

  • Make a list of all the tasks you do for your business

  • How long are you spending on these tasks?

  • Which ones are not the best use of your time?

  • Prioritise each task (highest to lowest priority)

  • From your list pin point the tasks that need to be outsourced

  • What software and skills are needed for each task?

  • How much time do you need someone to devote to your tasks (daily/weekly/monthly)?

  • Are there specific times that your tasks need to be taken care of (certain days, AM, PM, etc)?

2. Money

  • What is your outsourcing budget?

  • Will you need to pay in instalments?

3. Choosing who You will Outsource to

  • Ask other business owners who they outsource to

  • Do a search for relevant service providers (Facebook groups are great for this)

  • Contact service providers and set up a consultation

  • Before your call make a list of all the things you need to discuss

  • Decide who you will work with

  • Arrange to sign a contract

  • Make payment up front, if required

  • Assign your first project and share any documents/folders/logins required
